After claiming the DPOY award and the NBL1 West Finals MVP, Steph Gorman has re-signed with the Cockburn Cougars.

After claiming the Defensive Player of the Year award and the NBL1 West Finals MVP, Steph Gorman has re-signed with the Cockburn Cougars for the 2024 NBL1 Mitsubishi Motors season.
Her season highlight was the NBL1 West Grand Final, dropping 19 points, hitting five three-pointers and locking down the regular-season MVP Alex Sharp to only 40 percent from the field.

The two-way threat impressed in the NBL1 National Finals, dropping 18 points, seven rebounds and assists against the Warwick Senators. Showing off her skillset on a national stage.
For the 2023 season, she averaged 15 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals for the 18-2 Cougars.

Gorman told the Cougars that it was an easy decision to re-sign with the team for next year after their historic season.
“It was such a good year and I definitely didn’t expect it to go as well as it did in every way,” Gorman said in the Cougars announcement.
“We won games, the community at Cockburn is amazing and it was just such a fun group to be around so it wasn’t that hard of a decision to decide to want to come back.”
Gorman joins Jaya Scafidi, Amelia Corasaniti, Jessie Edwards, Abbey Hall, Jewel Williams, Regan Turnour-McCarty, Kinley Paterson for the 2024 NBL1 West season.
