NBL1 West star switches sides for 2024

NBL1 West star Michael Dupree is headed to the Willetton Tigers for the 2024 season. 

After averaging 20.7 points per game for the Goldfields Giants, the US import has put pen to paper with the Tigers for next season. 

He finished with a season-high of 39 points against the Eastern Suns, displaying his scoring prowess. 

Tigers coach Adam Nener says Dupree’s experience in the league will allow him to go to another level in 2024.

“Having a player like Michael joining the Tigers for season 2024 is great,” coach Nener said.

“He is familiar with the league having played in 2023 for the Giants and I am really looking forward to seeing his game go up another level”.

Dupree says after playing against the Tigers last year, he’s excited to join the team and experience their community on and off the court. 

“I’m excited to join the Willetton Tigers this upcoming season. After playing against the Tigers last season, I can see they have a strong community and probably one of the best fan bases in the West so I want to be a part of that,” he said.

“I’m ready to show the community my skill set and I’m grateful to Willetton for allowing me the opportunity to continue my NBL1 career in 2024.”
