NBL1 WEST TRIBUNAL: Giants Guard Reported for Alleged Striking Incident

Goldfields Giants import guard Nicolette Gilday has been referred to the NBL1 West Tribunal following an alleged striking incident during the Round 6 fixture against the Mandurah Magic.

The incident was reported following the match, and a tribunal hearing has been scheduled for later this week to consider the matter.

Basketball WA will not be making any further comment until the tribunal process has concluded and an outcome has been determined.

Giants Guard Receives Suspension Following Striking Incident

Goldfields Giants import guard Nicolette Gilday has been handed a two-match suspension following an NBL1 West Tribunal hearing into an alleged striking incident during the Round 6 women’s match against the Mandurah Magic on Saturday, 10 May 2025.

The incident was originally reported following the conclusion of the match. The Tribunal, held on Wednesday, 14 May 2025, found Gilday guilty of striking, issuing a two-match ban along with an additional two-match suspended sentence.

Basketball WA has confirmed the decision and advised that no further comment will be made at this time.
