Although there were only two NBL games over the Christmas break, a handful of NBL1 stars still shone on the big stage.

Sandringham's Sam McDaniel led the way in Tasmania's 84-75 win over New Zealand with 10 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Red City's Will McDowell-White contributed five points, four boards and four dimes for the Breakers.

In Melbourne's 14-point win over Sydney on Boxing Day, Knox's Mason Peatling put in the work off the bench with nine points to go with four rebounds and two blocks.

For the Kings, Albury Wodonga's Wani Swaka Lo Buluk did what he could to salvage a win with 10 points and two dimes.

Logan's Shaun Bruce (seven points, four rebounds) and new Diamond Valley signing Dejan Vasiljevic (five points) were also solid.
