After an impressive 2022 NBL1 season and breakout NBL23 season, Nick Marshall has put pen to paper with the Adelaide 36ers for the next three seasons.
Recently making his Boomers debut, Marshall has had an outstanding run from leading his Mount Gambier Pioneers to the NBL1 South Grand Finals, being a part of the 36ers historic win over the NBA’s Phoenix Suns and now finishing another season filled with glimpses of stardom.
“It’s pretty cool to be able to play in the NBL at home with the team I grew up supporting,” Marshall said on re-signing.
Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton said Marshall will be a key piece to the roster moving forward.
“What we have seen with Nick, he is only going to get better,” Bruton said.
“From what I have seen since I’ve been at the club, Nick works on his game a lot and that work ethic has seen these results.
“He has gone from a DP, to starting in the NBL and was also on the main roster for times throughout last season.
“I see Nick Marshall as a big piece to the future of the Adelaide 36ers.”
After re-signing with the Mount Gambier Pioneers in December, Marshall played two games for the Boomers.
Marshall played 11 minutes and scored two points in Australia’s two wins over Kazakhstan and Bahrain.
“I want to improve every day and the process I’ve been doing will continue, just keep what I have been doing,” Marshall said.
“It was sick, I had a lot of fun. It was really cool to be a part of that group and see what it’s all about and learn from some experienced guys that have been to the Olympics.
“Having that Boomers culture and learning what it’s about, as well as some past Boomers players coming in and speaking on their experience was cool.”
