Nick Marshall re-signs with Mount Gambier

The Mount Gambier Pioneers have re-signed Nick Marshall for the 2023 NBL1 season. 

The current Adelaide 36er was instrumental in the Pioneers' runner-up finish in the NBL1 South Grand Final and was a part of the 36res’ historic win over the NBA’s Phoenix Suns. 

For the season, he averaged 16.6 points and six rebounds as one of the best young wings in the competition. 

In the NBL, he is coming off a career-high 15 points against the South East Melbourne Phoenix and has steadily improved to be a key rotation piece for Adelaide in their push to the NBL’s play-in.

Pioneers head coach Richard Hill is ecstatic that Marshall will return next season.

“It’s great to have our 2022 MVP returning and even better being able to announce this after he’s had a career-high 15 points for the 36ers,” Hill said,

“Nick brings a rare versatility and athleticism to our team. His improvement and rise comes as no surprise as his work ethic is outstanding and a tremendous example to his teammates.”
