Nicole Seekamp Joins Sturt Sabres

The Sturt Sabres have secured a massive signing ahead of the NBL1 Central season, with Adelaide Lightning WNBL captain Nicole Seekamp joining the team.

Seekamp is coming off a fantastic WNBL20 season with Adelaide, averaging 11.0 points, 8.0 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game for the club, who were eliminated in the semi-finals by the Southside Flyers.

The 27-year-old has also been a member of numerous Australian Opal teams throughout her career and is looking forward to hitting the NBL1 Central court this season.

“Really excited to be back playing for Sturt," Seekamp said, via the Sabres' Facebook page.

"After playing my juniors here, I am looking forward to representing the club again and I believe it’s going to be a fun season with a great bunch of girls.”

Sturt's NBL1 Central campaign begins on Saturday March 18 against the Central Districts Lions.
