North Adelaide championship player makes trip up North

USC Rip City has signed Verle Williams III for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 North season.

The 180cm guard joins the Rip City men's team from NBL1 Central 2021 champions North Adelaide Rockets, where he averaged 15.68 points per game.

"I’ve played against some of the guys and had some battles, especially Isaih Tueta," Williams Jr said.

"I’m very excited to play alongside him and see how I can help build on a great season they had last year."

Like many of his Rip City teammates, the idyllic location is also a strong drawcard.

"I don’t get to go to beaches much, so to get to live and play close is a dream," Williams Jr said.
