Fresh off the back of a massive season with the Albury Wodonga Bandits in NBL1 East, where she broke the all-time NBL1 Women's single-game scoring record, Riley Lupfer has signed a deal to return to NBL1 South with the Nunawading Spectres in 2026.

Lupfer returns to the conference for the first time since 2023, where she played for the Launceston Tornadoes.

She starred for the Bandits alongside fellow sharpshooter Caitlyn Jones last season, averaging 22.3 points, 3.8 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.1 steals. Her form also earned her a place in the NBL1 East Women's All Star Five for 2025.

Lupfer's season was highlighted by the aforementioned record-breaking game, where she dropped 55 points, including a enormous 16 three-pointers in the Bandits' Round 13 victory over the Illawarra Hawks on July 5th.

After finishing the 2025 NBL1 South season in 12th place, the signing of Lupfer is a big boost for the Spectres as they aim to climb back up the ladder in 2026.
