Olympian Anneli Maley re-signs

Tokyo Olympian Anneli Maley has re-signed with Perth Redbacks for the 2025 season. 

Playing her first season in the NBL1 West, Maley was a sensation averaging 23 points, 16.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 11 games. Maley will play during the first part of the NBL1 season, before joining the WNBA’s LA Sparks for her second season in the states.

After her signing, Redbacks head coach Tim Rendulic said the team cannot wait to welcome Maley back.

"We're honoured and privileged to have Anneli re-join the Perth Redbacks after her stellar 2024 campaign,” he said.

“She's one of the top Australian players, not only in the WNBL, but also on the international stage as she showcases her talents with the Gangurrus’, Opals’ and soon LA Sparks. She is such a high calibre and fun individual that simply makes the people around her better, whether that's on or off the floor."
