The Joondalup Wolves have announced the signing of 6'7" forward Tom Parkinson for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 West season.
Parkinson joins the Pack – along with Wolves NBL1 Women’s Player and wife, Tia Ucich - after previously playing for the Lakeside Lightning where he reached his 200 games milestone in the 2021 season.
Parkinson’s experience and basketball IQ are sure to shine through with the Wolves this season.
When asked about signing with the Wolves Parkinson said: "I'm excited to join a club that has a long history of success and professionalism in the SBL and NBL1 West.
"After four years at separate clubs, it will be great to be able to watch Tia's games every week."
New NBL1 Men’s Head Coach David Morrell had this to say about signing Parkinson: "Tom is big man that is a perfect fit for our culture in Joondalup and we are thrilled to add him.
"He has had a very nice basketball journey so far at Lakeside, and in Melbourne, and he’s at a point where winning is what matters.
"He is a perfect embodiment of putting the goal above the role, and not seeking individual validation and success before team success.
"He comes to us as an unselfish guy that makes our offence run smoothly with his intelligence and feel for the game, alongside playmaking skills, unselfishness, and… the ultimate skill in basketball, the ability to shoot the ball.
"Tom comes in with ability, leadership, and as a fantastic teammate.
"We are thrilled to have him join the Pack for 2022."
