Two-time All-NBL First Team member Lamar Patterson has re-signed with the South West Metro Pirates for the 2024 NBL1 season.
After averaging 20.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists last season, Patterson’s leadership and scoring ability were essential in the Pirates' 2023 success.
The fourth-placed Pirates made it to the Semi-Finals, where they faced Patterson’s old team the Gold Coast Rollers – scoring 30 points with nine rebounds and six assists in the loss.
Head coach Aja Parham-Ammar said that Patterson's off-the-court value is just as important to the club as his on-the-court prowess.
"Lamar's basketball knowledge makes my life easier as a coach," she said.
"I'm happy to have him back to help lead the young athletes while showcasing his talent and love for the game."
Patterson joins Kai Woodfall on the men's squad for 2024.
