Peter Godfrey Appointed Head Coach of Pioneers

The Mount Gambier Pioneers have announced the appointment of Peter Godfrey as their new Men’s Head Coach on a three-year deal.

Godfrey joins the Pioneers with previous experience in NBL1 South, after four seasons at the helm of the Kilsyth Cobras (2021–2024), where he guided the program to consistent finals contention and was recognised as the 2022 NBL1 South Coach of the Year. He most recently assisted the Waverley Falcons Men in 2025.

Well-respected across the league for his leadership and player development, Godfrey now takes charge of one of NBL1 South’s most successful regional clubs as the Pioneers look to build on their strong tradition in 2026 and beyond.
