Pioneers Power Forward Titus Robinson Returns for 2026 NBL1 South Season

The Castec Rural Pioneers are pleased to confirm that Titus Robinson has re-signed for the 2026 NBL1 South season.

A cornerstone of the Pioneers’ frontcourt, Robinson’s return provides invaluable experience, athleticism, and leadership to the group as the club looks ahead to another strong campaign. The 201 cm power forward, originally from North Carolina, USA, will enter his fifth season with the club — continuing a remarkable journey that began more than a decade ago.

Robinson first joined the Mount Gambier Pioneers in 2013 to begin his professional career before embarking on a successful stint across international leagues. He returned to Mount Gambier in 2021, reuniting with the Pioneers and later making the Limestone Coast his permanent home with his wife, Janelle.

Since rejoining the club, Robinson has become a crowd favourite at the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre, known for his relentless energy, two-way play, and leadership both on and off the court. Serving as the Vice Captain in 2025 and earning the Finals Player of the Year honours, Titus was a key contributor to the Pioneers’ success last season.

Across the 2025 NBL1 South campaign, Robinson averaged 14.05 points, 7.15 rebounds, and 1.15 three-pointers per game, highlighting his versatility and ability to impact both ends of the floor.

Head Coach Pete Godfrey expressed his enthusiasm for retaining the veteran forward, highlighting Robinson’s experience, professionalism, and presence within the community.

“Titus's re-signing for 2026 was another major priority for me upon joining the Pioneers. To have a 6'8, well credentialed 12-year pro baller, living locally and a part of the community, is a literal triple bonus.” he said.

“Truth be known, I actually tried to recruit Titus on three separate occasions in between his stints as a Pioneer, but we just couldn't get the European and Australian seasons align each time. I have tremendous respect for Titus's game, and his work rate away from structured practices has a reputation all of its own.” he added.

Meanwhile, Robinson shared his excitement to once again represent the Pioneers and compete under new head coach Pete Godfrey.

“I am excited to suit up with the Pioneers again for the upcoming 2026 season with Coach Godfrey. Looking forward another exciting season.” he shared.

The Pioneers will continue to announce further player re-signings and roster updates in the coming weeks as both the men’s and women’s teams shape their squads for the 2026 season.
