The Pioneers Basketball Club have today received notice that the 2021 NBL1 South season has been cancelled due to the extended restrictions in Victoria as well as restrictions imposed on interstate Tasmanian, Albury Wodonga and Mount Gambier clubs.
‘Whilst the disappointment does exist for our teams, I am extremely proud of the way our OneFortyOne and Castec Rural Pioneers have remained ready and motivated throughout a disrupted debut NBL1 South season’.
‘The support provided by our club sponsors and fan’s during the 2021 season has once again been outstanding and we can’t thank the local business community for their ongoing support’.
The 2021 season will be brought to a close for our teams at THE COMMODORE on Friday the 2nd of September at the clubs SERLE-SCOTT medal dinner.
‘Whilst it wasn’t the debut season the Pioneers were hoping for, there is a lot to be celebrated and we look forward to sharing the accomplishments of the season with our club sponsors, fans and club people’.
Tickets for the Serle-Scott medal are available inclusive of a two-course meal and drinks. To access tickets, please clicking here.
