ESPN’s Jonathan Givony has projected the Duke star Tyrese Proctor to be the 22nd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. With the Blue Devils, Proctor is averaging nine points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists as Duke sits sixth on the ladder in Atlantic Coast Conference.
In six games for the CoE, Proctor averaged 15.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists - dropping an impressive 24 points against the NBL1 East Champions, the Canberra Gunners and 16 points against the NBL1 South champions, the Hobart Chargers last season.
If drafted, Proctor will join an impressive collection of CoE stars to head to the WNBA and NBA, with Josh Giddey (6th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft) and Jade Melbourne (33rd pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft) being the first to make the leap from the Centre of Excellence NBL1 team to the respective leagues in the United States.
The CoE will join the NBL1 East this season, tipping off on March 11. See the full fixture here.
