The Ipswich Force have signed Kasey Burton, Henry Pwono and Tiarnee Smith for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 North season.
Pwono has played all around the world, including time in USA, Australia, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He will join the Force from Luxembourg, where he is currently playing for BC Musel Pikes and averaging 18 points, 10 rebounds & four assists.
The 6’7 power forward is no stranger to Queensland, having represented South West Metro in the QBL in 2019 and being named QBL player of the week in Round 7.
He is a graduate of NCAA Division Two college, East Central University.
Burton joins the Force from Victoria, where she has gained WNBL-level experience with the Bendigo Spirit and Melbourne Boomers.
Burton represented Victoria Country as a junior, culminating in selection at the Australian junior level.
She most recently played for Ballarat Miners in NBL1 South with averages of 12 points and seven rebounds per game.
Smith has earned elevation to the NBL1 team through her performance with Ipswich's U18, QSL and High Performance squads over the past two seasons.
Smith is a gifted athlete with tremendous instincts, and Ipswich expects her to be a big part of the future of our team.
