Ranger legend Alison Downie returns

Dandenong Basketball has announced that Ranger legend Alison Downie has come back to Dandenong Stadium in 2021, re-joining their Senior Women’s program for a huge NBL1 South season.

Having started playing with DBA nearly 20 years ago, Downie will return to the club which she helped win multiple WNBL and SEABL championships and played nearly 800 total senior games.

She has recently been dominating in the ruck for Carlton Football Club in the AFLW, playing four seasons with the club before departing at the end of the 2021 season.

But the focus will be back on basketball for the rest of the year as Downie gets ready to help lead Dandenong's young, exciting NBL1 Women’s team on the court.
