Reid re-signs for 2022

Another key signing for your Northern Star Resources Goldfields Giants Men's team with team captain Jerome Reid re-signing for the 2022 season.

Coming into his eighth season with the club since moving up from Esperance to join the Giants as an 18 year old, Reid has now notched up 160 games for the Giants, including 148 in the SBL & NBL1 West competitions and should reach the official 150 game milestone early next season.

He was named club captain in 2020 and eventually took that role on court during the Covid reduced West Coast Classic competiton in 2020 and was our inaugural NBL1 West captain as we joined the league in 2021.

It saw him in career best season in 2021, where he averaged almost 11 points, along with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.5 steals across 20 games

One of the league's most prolific three point shooters, he will once again be a focal point on the Giants both on and off the court, providing veteran leadership at just 25 years of age and is always keen to help out some of the younger squad members.

Reid is currently playing locally in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association competition in the lead up for the commencement of the NBL1 West season in April.
