Rockets co-captains commit for 2022

Sam Defrancesco and Lauren Badenoch have recommitted to the Rockets for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 Central season.

Defrancesco led her team to the NBL1 Central Women's Grand Final last year and will look to do the same again this year.

In the 2021 NBL1 season, Defrancesco averaged 14.81 points, 5.45 rebounds and 2.27 assists.

After having the last season off to welcome her beautiful daughter Frankie Lou into the world, Badenoch is back and more ready than ever for her come-back season.

The Rockets are excited to not only have her on the court but to have her step into the role as co-captain.

Courtney Hansen will also step into a leadership role this year after re-signing with the team.

Last season, Hansen averaged 5.15 points, 1.25 assists and 4.45 rebounds.
