The Rockhampton Rockets are proud to announce the signing of Australian Power forward/centre Damian Prgomet for the Coles Express NBL1 North 2022 Season.
Progomet is currently playing in Spain and will join the Rockets at the conclusion of his season.
The 6'10" Prgomet had a stellar college career at Southwest Baptist University and after completing college has been playing in Spain professionally for Melilla where is currently averaging 16.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Coach Neal Tweedy said: "Lack of size was a huge issue for the Rockets last season, and we needed to ensure that we had a quality inside target moving forward into the 2022 season.
"I’m excited that Damo has decided to commit to the Rockets and even more excited at what he will bring to the group in 2022.
"In Damo, we have an athletic 6'10" big man that can play inside and out and will solve some of the rebounding problems that the team had last year.
"He has been playing extremely well overseas and we can’t wait for him to arrive in Rockhampton."
Prgomet said: "I’m super excited to be returning home to Australia to play basketball.
"I’ve heard awesome things about the Rockhampton Rockets and I’m looking forward to kicking off the NBL1 season!"
The Rockets' roster is starting to grow with the following players now committing for the 2022 season.
- Kai Woodfall
- Kon Anguik
