2021 NBL1 Central Champion Morgan Yaeger has signed with the NBL1 North’s Rockhampton Cyclones for the 2024 season.

Spending the past three seasons with the Tigers, Yaeger has been one of the elite guards in the conference – averaging 19.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists across the three seasons with the club.

She scored a season-high 33 points against the West Adelaide Bearcats, making four triples to close the game.

She now joins the runners-up in the NBL1 North Grand Final, who were a scorer of Yaeger’s calibre away from completing the title run.

Head Coach Drew Fenton said that Rockhampton fans will love Yaeger’s talent.

“It was no secret that we struggled from the perimeter last season and Morgan was our number one target to fill that void,” he said.

“She will bring size and athleticism at the wing spot with the ability to score in a variety of different ways whether that be shooting the three, attacking the hoop, plus being able to post up smaller guards.”

“I also believe Morgan is an underrated defender who hasn't got the credit she deserves on the defensive end. Morgan is a great piece to add to our puzzle and we can't wait for her to arrive, the Rocky fans will love having Morgan in RockVegas!"

The former Orgean Duck added she cannot wait to get started with the Cyclones.

“I can't wait to get to Rocky and start getting to work with the team,” she said.

“From my first chat with Drew, I knew it was a perfect fit and this will be a very special season. Something is brewing in Rocky, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
