Rockingham adds four more to rosters

The Rockingham Flames have added Callum Beard, Tiana Wilson-Palmer, Dylan Gilbert and Zahli Jolly to their rosters ahead of the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 West season. 

Wilson-Palmer, who has recently signed with Neosho College in Kansas, said she couldn't wait to get the NBL1 West season underway.

"I’m very excited for this year and all its opportunities," she said.

"I can’t wait to get on the court with this bunch."

Jolly is a homegrown local who said her aim was firmly on the championship.

"My roots are within the flames and each year I have the pleasure of meeting new people, whether they be supporters of the club or new players (of all ages), and also playing with the girls who I’ve grown up with on the court," she said.

"I look forward to seeing all of the flames family this year and adding 2022 to the list of won championships!"

Beard was a key contributor for the Flames in a year where they went so close to winning their first men's championship. 

He'll be looking to take his side one step further in 2022.

"I think it’s pretty obvious what my intentions were to everyone, made it clear that it would never be the same winning a championship anywhere else than what it would be with my boys," he said.

"I owe it to the club, our Flames family, past players and my team to ensure I assist in winning a championship for this men's program.

"It’s amazing what we did last year but none of us are satisfied, we are definitely hungrier than ever."

Gilbert echoed Beard's senitments.

"I'm excited to be back at Rockingham and after falling just short from the championship last season I’m excited to see if we can achieve our ultimate goal our first championship," he said.
