The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of Wolves junior Ty Bolland for the 2024 NBL1 West season!
Ty Bolland is an exceptional young talent who has been working hard in the NBL1 pre-season to better her game. A player who competes with intensity on both ends of the floor, Ty has the size and length to compete with anyone on the court.
Ty most recently played in the Under 18 2023 WABL competition, where she averaged 8.4 points per game, (22nd in the league) and competed in the under 20 National Championships alongside teammate Kyah Nichols. Ty made her NBL1 debut in last Thursday’s season opener against the Perth Redbacks.
Women’s Head Coach Jesse Pence had this to say about signing Ty:
“The Wolfpack are excited to welcome Ty Bolland to the NBL1 Women's Team. She is one of the hardest-working players we have, bar none. Ty trains just like she plays, full force, all the time, and the entire staff sees the potential and the immediate impact that she can have.”
When asked for a statement on her recent signing, Ty said:
“What makes me excited about 2024 is how much I am going to learn alongside so many talented players and staff. I already feel I have gotten better, and this is only the start. I am so excited to see where this year is going to take me and what I can do this season to lift my own and the teams’ game.”
Ty Bolland joins teammates Jo Odude, Keisha Chng, Jasmine Kirby, Julia Chandler, Peanut Tuitele, Kyah Nichols, Dynn Leaupepe, Hannah Duncan, Jorjah Smith, Emma Clarke, Laniesha Paddon, Ella Thornton-Elliott, Sarah Toeaina and Darien Huff for the 2024 NBL1 West season.
