North Gold Coast Seahawks duo for 2024 Mikaela Ruef and Miela Goodchild are catching fire for their respective WNBL teams.
Both had award-winning seasons in the NBL1 South and NBL1 North and they have carried their momentum into their respective WNBL seasons.
Goodchild made the NBL1 South All-Star Five last season for Mount Gambier, where she averaged 24 points per game for the Finals team.
In the WNBL with the Perth Lynx, Goodchild has made an impact on the new-look squad – scoring 35 across two games in Round 4.
NBL1 North First-Team member Mikaela Ruef has also been on a tear with her defending champion Townsville Fire. The now-naturalised Australian had a WNBL Player of the Game performance with 10 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals against the Adelaide Lightning.
The pair will join forces after the WNBL season to become the newest dynamic duo of the NBL1 North, both signing with the North Gold Coast Seahawks for the 2024 season.
