Story By Emily Clooney  The Advocate

The North West Thunder were staring down the barrel of a zero and two weekend of home NBL1 South games.  That was until Kye Savage got the ball in his hands during the dying seconds of Saturday night's clash against Kilsyth.
A three-pointer by the 19-year-old on the buzzer helped the Thunder clinch a one-point win against the Cobras, 85-84.  Savage, who was named the most valuable player, finished with a game-high 21 points, while Lachie Barker - fresh off Australian 3x3 duties - added 17 points and two assists.  The nail-biting win comes after a frustrating six-point loss to Ballarat at home on Friday night.
Sam Armstrong's men led by nine points at the main break but were unable to hold on and eventually fell to the 94-88 loss.  The Thunder sit 10th with two wins and two losses from their four matches.
