The Dandenong Rangers scored a pair of NBL1 South wins against the Ringwood Hawks on Sunday while Geelong United women stayed perfect and the Frankston Blues and Bendigo Braves split their match ups.

Ringwood Hawks (62) lost to Dandenong Rangers (99)
Dallas Loughridge, Nyadiew Puoch and Georgia Booth combined for 69 points as the Dandenong Rangers completed a terrific weekend with the 99-62 road win over the Ringwood Hawks.
Both teams played on Saturday night as well with the Hawks beating the Nunawading Spectres by 31 points while the Rangers knocked off the Knox Raiders at the State Basketball Centre.
Ringwood was leading 21-17 by the end of the first quarter but then Dandenong took control in the second term with 30 points to 17 on the back of shooting 12/21 from the field to go into half-time on top 47-38.
There was even more dominance from the Rangers in the third frame as they piled on 36 points thanks to shooting 14/22 to open up a 30-point lead.
That advantage got out to 39 points in the final term and Dandenong completed the 37-point victory to make it a double win weekend against two quality opponents to improve to a 7-3 record and to be sitting in third position at the end of the round.
The big guns of the Rangers all delivered with Dallas Loughridge ending up with 25 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals.
Nyadiew Puoch added 23 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocks with Georgia Booth ending up with 21 points, five boards and two assists.
Imogen Rock added 13 points, five rebounds, five steals and two assists, and Amber Smith 12 points, four assists, three rebound and two steals.
Ringwood are now 5-5 on the season having split their two games this weekend with Nyaduoth Lok top-scoring with 16 points to go with 11 rebounds and two assists.
Camille Hobby added 15 points and four rebounds, and Annabel Deerbon 11 points and five boards.

Frankston Blues (88) defeated Bendigo Braves (67)
The Frankston made it a double win weekend with Lauren Scherf back in the line-up with the 88-67 win at home against the Bendigo Braves.
Frankston welcomed back Scherf from her playing with the Australian Opals last week in the Trans-Tasman Throwdown and scored a six-point win at home to the Casey Cavaliers on Saturday night.
The Blues remained at home at Dreamstreet Lending Arena on Sunday playing host to a Bendigo team having lost their previous seven matches including on Saturday at home to the Melbourne Tigers.
It was just a four-point lead for the Blues by quarter-time but they started to pull further way with 23 points to 13 in the second term on the way to the 42-28 lead by half-time.
Bendigo did well to stay in the contest and outscored Frankston 19 points to 16 in the third term, but then the Blues took complete control in the final period with 30 points to 20.
That saw the lead for Frankston get out to as much as 24 points and they would end up winning by 21 to improve to a 6-4 record on the season and to be clinging to a place in the top eight.
Lou Brown delivered 21 points, 15 rebounds, four steals, two assists and two blocks in the win for Frankston while Emily Monaghan provided 21 points, five boards and three steals.
Lauren Scherf provided another 18 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and five blocked shots on 8/14 shooting as well for Frankston with Jacqui Trotto contributing eight points, 12 boards, two assists and two steals.
Bendigo have now lost eight straight matches to sit on a 2-9 record with Taisheka Porchia top-scoring with 20 points and nine rebounds on 10/17 shooting from the field.
Cassidy McLean delivered 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals, and Jessica Smith 15 points and four boards.

Mount Gambier Pioneers (56) lost to Geelong United (83)
Geelong United maintained their perfect record so far this NBL1 South season with another dominant performance beating the Mount Gambier Pioneers 83-56 on the road on Sunday.
Geelong improved to a 9-0 record on the season back on Friday night with the road win over the Knox Raiders who had also been on a significant winning streak.
They then made the trip to Mount Gambier on Sunday to face a Pioneers team making their only appearance of the weekend and having won last up against the Casey Cavaliers by 25 points.
SO both teams came into the Sunday afternoon match up at Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre in winning form but it didn’t take Geelong long to assert its authority.
United held Mount Gambier to just nine points in all of the first quarter while putting up 28 themselves on the back of scoring 14 consecutive points.
Mount Gambier were able to avoid the lead blowing out further over the next two quarters with Geelong only leading by 13 points at half-time and then 15 at three quarter-time.
However, in the last quarter it was all Geelong with another 23 points to nine to see the lead grow to as much as 29 points on the way to the eventual 27-point victory.
Geelong improves to a perfect 10-0 record as a result of the win with Hannah Hank continuing to be a powerful force down low by delivering another 22 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Jaz Shelley added 19 points, six rebounds and six assists, Lilly Rotunno 15 points, three boards, two assists and two steals, and Tanielle Knight 10 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots.
The Pioneers are now 3-7 for the season including going 1-4 on their home floor so far in 2025 with Isa Brancatisano top-scoring with 15 points to go with eight rebounds and five assists.
Haliegh Reinoehl added 14 points and nine rebounds, and Jayda Jansen 11 points, three boards and two steals.

Ringwood Hawks (91) lost to Dandenong Rangers (96)
The Dandenong Rangers overcame 30 points from Angus Glover and finished the better with a 36-point fourth quarter for the 96-91 road win over the Ringwood Hawks.
Both teams came into the match up at The Rings on Sunday afternoon with both having played on Saturday night with the Hawks losing a one-point thriller to the Nunawading Spectres.
The Rangers also suffered a fifth consecutive loss at the hands of the Knox Raiders so both of them had that added motivation coming into their Sunday contest.
It was Ringwood clinging to a 22-20 lead by quarter-time having led by as much as seven before things remained tight in the second term and the Hawks went into the half-time break leading 39-36.
Ringwood managed to open up a nine-point lead in the third quarter but Dandenong hit back and it was just a two-point advantage for the Hawks heading into the last quarter.
Ringwood were still leading by two with 2:30 to play after a couple of free throws to Jonathan Lawton, but that's when Dandenong made their move starting with a layup to Jack Roberts and three-point bomb to Justin Bieker.
Ruot Monyyong soon threw down a dunk and then Sam Davidson hit another three ball which saw the Rangers leading by six and ending up securing the five-point victory.
It had been a high quality fourth quarter with the Hawks scoring 29 points on 10/23 shooting with 5/12 from downtown while the Rangers put up 36 points on 13/18 shooting with 5/7 from beyond the arc.
Dandenong improves to a 2-8 record on the season as a result of the win with Bryton Hobbs producing 27 points and seven assists with 4/8 three-point shooting.
Ruot Monyyong added 16 points, 14 rebounds, three blocks and two assists, Sam Davidson 15 points and three assists, Justin Bieker 13 points, four boards, three assists and two steals, and Jack Roberts nine points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
Ringwood are now 3-7 on the season following their two losses this weekend despite Angus Glover producing 30 points to go with five assists and four rebounds on 4/11 three-point shooting.
Jonathan Lawton also had 22 points and three assists, Tanner Krebs 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Josh Tomasi 11 points, eight boards and two steals.

Frankston Blues (84) lost to Bendigo Braves (91)
The Bendigo Braves withstood 30 points from Michael Harris to consolidate a top four position with the 91-84 road victory over the Frankston Blues on Sunday.
Both teams came into the match up at Dreamstreet Lending Arena coming off losses on Saturday night with Bendigo losing at home to the Melbourne Tigers and the Blues also on their home deck to the Casey Cavaliers.
A top four spot at the end of Round 7 went on the line too and the two teams combined for 52 points in the first quarter with Bendigo leading 27-25 by quarter-time.
It was then only a combined 30 points in the second term with a combined 12/38 shooting from both teams but by half-time the Braves had narrowly increased their lead to 43-39.
That trend continued throughout the second half and Bendigo were up 10 at three quarter-time, but Frankston weren’t done with yet and even got back in front on the back of a pair of free throws to Michael Harris with 4:45 to play.
The lead then continued to change hands over the next three minutes until Josiah Pattinson landed a huge three for Bendigo to make it a four-point lead for the visitors.
Justin Johnson then hit a pair of free throws to make the margin six and from there the Braves completed the seven-point victory.
The win improves Bendigo to a 7-4 record to sit in fourth position at the end of the round with Lual Diing finishing with 23 points and five rebounds with 4/6 shooting from behind the arc.
Charles Matthews also had 18 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals, Josiah Pattinson 15 points and two boards, Lachlan O'Brien 14 points, four rebounds and two assists, and Justin Johnson 13 points, seven boards and two steals.
The Blues are now 6-4 having lost twice this weekend with Michael Harris doing all he could to get them over the line with 30 points, nine rebounds and four assists on 11/20 from the field and 4/10 from downtown.
Lucas Barker added 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, Igor Hadziomerovic 10 points, five boards and three assists, and Tom Garrett 11 points and five rebounds on 3/6 three-point shooting.

Mount Gambier Pioneers (94) defeated Geelong United (88)
The Mount Gambier Pioneers started on fire but then had to come back from a nine-point second half deficit to score the eventual 94-88 home victory on Sunday over Geelong United.
It was the lone game of the weekend for the Pioneers as they returned home to Wulanda Recreation Convention Centre having finished a run of three road games with a win last Saturday against the Casey Cavaliers.
They were playing host to a Geelong team who played back on Friday night where they suffered a 21-point away loss to the Knox Raiders as they attempted to rebound on their trip to Mount Gambier on Sunday.
It was a flying start form the Pioneers as they put up 37 points to 25 on the back of shooting 14/22 from the field and knocking down 5/10 from behind the three-point arc.
Geelong turned the tide in the second quarter with 31 points of their own to just 16 from Mount Gambier including making 4/7 from downtown and that meant it was United leading 56-53 going into half-time.
Geelong were still leading by four points at three quarter-time but then it was all the Pioneers in the final period and they outscored United 24 points to 14 to come from behind and score the six-point home victory.
The Pioneers ended up going 25/35 from the foul line opposed to the 12/18 from Geelong in what was the biggest difference by the final buzzer.
Akech Aliir delivered 26 points and 11 rebounds in the win for Mount Gambier on 9/14 from the field and 7/9 at the foul line.
Alex Mudronja added 21 points, two assists and two steals, Joe Palmer 17 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and two steals, and Kaden Archie 11 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Geelong slips to a 4-6 following their two road losses this weekend with Tristan Forsyth finishing with 20 points and five rebounds, DeMarcus Gatlin 18 points, 21 boards, six assists and three steals, Jackson Talbot 11 points, and Owen Odigie 10 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
