The Eastern Suns have secured the signature of highly touted Joondalup point guard Georgia Denehey.

After averaging 6.88 points, 3.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 2021, Denehey will suit up in orange for the 2022 NBL1 West season.

Newly appointed Suns women's head coach Tim Rendulic was excited to welcome Georgia to the team.

"'G' has already established herself as one of the league's most elite defenders and arguably one of the quickest players to step out on the floor," he said.

"There is still so much evolution to come in her ability and we’re excited to help her achieve her goals.

"Most importantly, she is a high-quality individual and natural leader.

"Her ability to lead by example and make others around her better right away will help usher in a new and exciting time at the Eastern Suns."
