The men's Warwick Senators have been declared a "Sleeping Giant" by opposition head coach Charles Nix.
After finishing seventh last season, the Senators exited the Finals in the first round to the Joondalup Wolves -- who went on to make the Grand Final.
While coach Nix's Perth Redbacks have been declared title contenders, he believes the Senators are a team that could make a serious run in the Finals this season.
"I think Warwick (are a sleeping giant)," he told Caleb Kingston on the Too Short for The League Podcast.
"They've recruited Todd Withers, who is a stud, like he's an outstanding player. Zac Gattorna is a proven winner and Michael Harris has done wonderful things at NBL level.
"I think the fan base they have is massive. Just financially they're a very stable club, so I think if you're talking sleeping giants, I think Warwick are the sleeping giant in the men's division."

The Senators have signed three former or current NBL players, Withers played for the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL22 season, Gattorna is a championship-winning development player for the Sydney Kings and Harris is currently preparing for the Wildcats' Playoffs race.
The Senators play their first game on Thursday, March 28 against the East Perth Eagles live and free via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App.
