The West Adelaide Bearcats Journey to NBL1 National Finals

With so many talented teams coming into the Coles Express NBL1 National Final, here is the recap of how the West Adelaide Bearcats got here!

The West Adelaide Bearcats finished the regular season on top of the ladder and they finished the season on top of Central.

The Bearcats are a stacked squad with the likes of All-Star 5 member Jasmin Fejo, Finals MVP Madelynn Utti and WNBL player Jennie Rintala, West Adelaide are a tough team to beat.

With a record of 17-3, the Bearcats were a dominant side in the NBL1 Central, a combination of star power and depth under former WNBL player Kay-Lee Stuart.

In the NBL1 Central Finals the Bearcats automatically advanced to the Semi-Finals, where they beat the Sturt Sabres 94-82. Superstar Fejo had 32 points and Utti put up 21 points and 17 rebounds in the win which would eventually be a Grand Final preview.

In the Grand Final, the Bearcats beat Sturt 82-75, with Utti having a massive performance of 25 points and 17 rebounds. Fejo had a double-double of 14 points and 10 assists, including being the engine behind a 17-0 run.

The Bearcats will face the NBL1 West Warwick Senators, who come into this NBL1 National Final on an 18-game win streak on Friday night.
