The Wolfpack get a pair of wins on the road in Kalgoorlie!

The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves made the trip to Kalgoorlie and kept their unbeaten run to start the season going with the 78-43 victory over the Goldfields Giants.
Jorjah Smith and Peanut Tuitele made their first appearance with the Wolves for the season and made their mark on the game early; Jorjah hitting shots beyond the arc and Peanut dominating inside the paint.
The Wolves pushed the pace throughout the game and scored in transition, securing an early lead. The defence of the Pack was strong, with Sarah Toeaina leading the game in total steals (6), and Jo Odude leading the Pack in blocks (3).
The Wolves secured a commanding 38-19 lead by half-time and would go on to outscore Goldfields 40 points to 24 in the second half. Julia Chandler was the top scoring for the Wolves with 17 points and four rebounds and Darien Huff contributed 14 points and six assists.
The Men recover in a hard-fought win in Kalgoorlie
It was a close contest in the Goldfields as the Wolves were looking to keep their win streak alive, and the Giants a win in their first home game of the season. The Wolves managed to open a 12-point lead early in the second quarter, however the Giants closed the gap to just 3 by half-time.
Ethan Elliott was dominant early on both sides of the floor, scoring 16 of his total 22 points in the first half, including a total 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Caleb Davis was elite from range and added 19 points, 12 boards, five assists and three steals in the game. Christian Jurlina also had 12 points, three rebounds and three assists and Jordan Wellsteed contributed 7 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals in the game.
Despite a strong offensive game, the Wolves still found themselves down by 6 heading into the 4th, in which CJ Turnage dominated, scoring 14 points that time. The Wolves held the Giants to just 13 points in the quarter, winning 94-84 by the end of regulation.
