The East Perth Eagles have appointed Megan Thompson as head coach of their women's team for the 2022 season.
Thompson takes over from the reigning NBL1 West Women's Coach of the Year, Blake Srdarev, who made the move to Lakeside in the off-season.
She is a former WNBL player for the Perth Lynx and WNBL coach for the South East Queensland Stars.
Back in WA, she was the head coach of the Cockburn Cougars for two seasons and assistant for one.
In 2019, she left the club to take the reins as Development and Pathway Officer at Mandurah.
Thompson will be hoping to take the Eagles into back-to-back finals campaigns in the second season of NBL1 West next year.
