Titus Robinson Returns to Mount Gambier Pioneers

The Castec Rural Pioneers are excited to announce the return of Titus Robinson, a previous favourite of Pioneer fans.

Robinson is a 201cm power forward hailing from North Carolina in the United States who has most recently been playing in the Elite League in Greece.

The return of Robinson to once more suit up for the Castec Rural Pioneers is an important piece in the jigsaw for the team as they push towards the final’s series. Robinson is expected to arrive in Mount Gambier on Thursday, June 15 and travel with the team for their away double header over the weekend against the Ringwood Hawks and Ballarat Miners.

Head Coach, Richard Hill is thrilled with the signing of Robinson, marking his third return to the Pioneers after he commenced his professional career with the Pioneers more than a decade ago.

“Titus played his first year as a pro with us and he has gone on to have a tremendous career all over the world.

“Aside from his obvious playing talent and athleticism, Titus will bring great leadership, competitiveness and a work ethic second to none to our young team.

“He will be a huge part of our push to secure a play-off spot in what is a very hectic and challenging nine games in five weeks. I can’t wait to once more get to work with him,” Hill said.

The Castec Rural Pioneers and the OneFortyOne Pioneers have both returned to the winners list in recent weeks after a string of mid-season losses with the Men’s team now 6th (8 wins, 5 losses) and the Women’s team 3rd (10 wins 3 losses).  The Pioneer's next home games are at Wulanda on Friday, June 23.
