The Ringwood Hawks have re-signed Jacqui Trotto and Jack Barry for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 South season.
It has almost been 12 months since Trotto returned to the court following a serious knee injury and she is back stronger, committed and ready to take the next step in her journey.
Trotto spent her time in the off-season returning to the WNBL and developing her skills with the Melbourne Boomers and the do-it-all forward will once again be looking to spark the Hawks with her energy and athleticism.
With a new-look roster, the guard/forward will be looked on to provide leadership and direction to a team that is looking to take an extra step after looking like finals contenders in 2021.
Last season, Barry was a consistent performer last year for the Hawks, averaging over 11 points per game and dishing off three assists but also hitting the boards with four rebounds.
"He can fill so many roles for us, he’s a real bonus," Hawks Coach Ken Harrington said.
"JB has the ability to change a game in a hurry with a flurry of threes or a big steal."
As a team in 2021, the Hawks were uncharacteristically poor from the three-point line but Barry was one of the few shining lights and will again be called upon to find the range and keep the scoreboard ticking over.
