Tylah Hooper Re-Signs with Melbourne Tigers

NBL1 South

The Melbourne Tigers have announced the re-signing of Tylah Hooper for the NBL1 South 2026 season.

The Melbourne Tigers have announced the re-signing of Tylah Hooper for the NBL1 South 2026 season.

A long-time member of the Tigers program, Hooper has progressed through the club’s junior and Youth Championship ranks before becoming a consistent contributor at NBL1 level.

In the 2025 NBL1 season, she averaged 4.95 points, 0.85 assists and 1.45 rebounds per game, highlighted by an 18-point, 3-rebound, 3-assist performance against Diamond Valley. Recognised for her speed, playmaking and composure, Hooper provided valuable production off the bench and will look to build on that role heading into 2026.

Her performances have also earned attention on the international stage, having been selected for the New Zealand Tall Ferns earlier this year at the Trans-Tasman Showdown against the Australian Opals.

Hooper said she is looking forward to the upcoming campaign and continuing her journey with the Tigers.

“I’m super excited to be re-signing with the Melbourne Tigers for the 2026 season. This club has been my home for over 12 years, and my loyalty and love for it have only grown stronger every year. It means so much to keep representing the Tigers alongside some of my closest friends — people I’ve grown up with and shared countless memories on and off the court. I can’t wait to get out there this season and play alongside this club, coaches and girls.”

The NBL1 South 2026 season tips off on Friday 27th March 2026. For all the latest updates, including player signings, coaching appointments and league news, make sure you’re following NBL1 South on Facebook and Instagram.
