U19 World Cup Silver medallist Shaneice Swain has joined the Mackay Meteorettes for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 West season.
Swain is currently playing in the WNBL with the University of Canberra Capitals and will help fill the void left by the departures of fellow WNBL players Cayla George (Cairns Dolphins) and Chelsea Brook (Darwin Salties).
The 177cm guard last played in the QBL as a 16-year-old back in 2019, where she averaged a very impressive 18 points, five rebounds and two assists across 14 games.
Joining Swain in Mackay colours is Sam Haughton.
He last played for the Meteors back in 2017 before moving to Townsville where he has spent the last four years studying Medicine.
