In more good news for the OneFortyOne Pioneers, Keryl Ousey will be again be a Pioneer in 2023.
Twenty-year-old Ousey previously played for the OneFortyOne Pioneers in 2021 before spending last year studying in Melbourne.
While in Melbourne in 2022, Ousey played twelve matches for the NBL1 Sandringham Sabres.
Head Coach of the OneFortyOne Pioneers and 2022 NBL1 South Coach of the Year, Matt Sutton, is excited to have Ousey back for the coming season.
“I’m really happy to have Keryl back in our program after a year away for study in Melbourne.
She’s a great young talent that represents our community really well; she works hard, has great size and mobility, which will add considerably to our depth,” Sutton said.
The Castec Rural Pioneers and the OneFortyOne Pioneers will commence their 2022 NBL1 South campaigns with a double header on the road on April 1 & 2, 2023, before playing their first game at the all new state of the art Wulanda Recreation & Convention Centre on Friday, April 14.
