After multiple impressive performances representing both Australia and New South Wales, Jessie-May Hall is bound for a breakout season in the NBL1 East.

Winning gold for Australia at the 2023 FIBA U16 Women’s Asia Cup, and taking another gold for NSW in the 2025 U20s National Championships, the 17-year-old's resume is already extremely impressive.

Last NBL1 season, Hall impressed the nation with an average of 20 points, 7.1 rebounds, four assists and 4.7 steals in 16 games.

In her 2025 debut, she outclassed former Olympian Leilani Mitchell and scored 20 points with nine rebounds and five assists.

Former Sydney King and current Norths Bears Director of NBL1 and Senior Programs, Tom Garlepp, coached Hall at the U16 Asia Cup. He told NBL1 Media that he believes the sky is the limit for Hall.

“Her junior resume speaks for itself, she's certainly capable of high-level performances through her speed and her competitiveness,” Garlepp said.

“I'm sure she’ll have her share of college interest and pro interest as well. So it'll really be up to her. Based on talent and character, she's gonna have no shortage of options.”

He explained that what stood out most with Hall is her ability to be a great teammate, lifting teammates up by giving them confidence and setting the tone with her energy.

So, at only 17 years old, what is the potential for this electric guard?

Her next game will be on Saturday against the Bankstown Bruins from 5:00pm AEDT. Watch the game live via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App.
