We are more than a month into all the NBL1 Conferences battling it out and the best of the best are rising to the top.

We are more than a month into all of the NBL1 conferences battling it out, and the best of the best are rising to the top.

Let's take a look at the NBL1 teams who are still undefeated going into this weekend below:

NBL1 North

Women's Northside Wizards

The NBL1 North has three teams still without a loss, with the new-look women's Northside Wizards, the homecourt protectors in the women's Darwin Salties and the stacked men's Ipswich Force.

Starting with the Wizards, after signing NBL1 North and WNBL Champion Courtney Woods in the offseason -- the team has become a championship favourite

While the 2022 NBL1 North MVP Tiana Mangakahia has signed in France, Woods, Nadeen Payne, AJ Johnson and more have stepped up to continue their dominance.

The x-factor going forward is collegiate star Georgia Dale. Coming off four years at CBU, the 24-year-old guard has shown glimpses of stardom with her athleticism and passing.

Women's Darwin Salties

The Salties are also a team to watch after winning three straight games at home in the NT. This past weekend, Darwin made their first trip to Queensland and continued their undefeated streak against the Cairns Dolphins and Townsville Flames.

It's a collective effort by the Salties -- which makes them even more dangerous. Against Cairns they had five players score 10 points or more, while against Townsville all starters were in double-digits and no player scored more than 16 points individually.

Men's Ipswich Force

It's not hard to see why a team led by Nathan Sobey alongside both Galloway's, is sitting on top of the NBL1 North ladder.

Kyrin Galloway is averaging 25 points, Jaylin Galloway is averaging 21 points, Sobey is adding 16.8 points per game and five assists. While Deng Deng is quickly integrating himself into this star-studded line-up.

NBL1 South

Women's Bendigo Braves

The Bendigo Braves are hungry after last season's runners-up finish in the Grand Finals, they have retained their core and added WNBL star Amy Atwell to their squad.

The Braves have an elite defence, only allowing 66 points per game (while scoring 87 points per game) and are one of the best rebounding teams in the league -- led by double-double machine Megan McKay.

Women's Waverley Falcons

The Waverley Falcons are dominating this season, with a 6-0 record the Falcons are bringing grit and style to South-East Melbourne.

The Falcons are repping the rewards of the addition of NBL1 Central Finals MVP Maddi Utti. The 24-year-old forward is averaging 16.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the undefeated Falcons.

Bec Cole's Falcons have a serious challenge on Sunday, facing off against Keely Froling at home from 12:30 pm via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App here

Men's Mount Gambier Pioneers

The Mount Gambier Pioneers were also the runners-up in the Grand Final last year, Nick Marshall has taken on another level after NBL23 averaging 23 points so far this season.

But the Pioneers' recruitment has been the story this season. Bringing Keilor's Jacob Lampkin and signing NBL1 East Champion William Mayfield, the Pioneers are set up with a talented core to carry them to the 6-0 record.

NBL1 Central

Women's Sturt Sabres

Another Grand Final runner-up from last season has come out of the gates on fire, as the Sturt Sabres are 7-0 and are not slowing down.

Last week on The NBL1 Show, NBL1 Central expert Tristain Prentice declared the Sabres as favourites.

“The Sabres won every single quarter, dished 26 assists and scored 21 points from turnovers,” he said.

“They are the outright favourites in the 2023 women’s NBL1 Central.”

In Round 6 the Sabres beat the Central Districts Lions by a staggering 52 points with seven players in double-digit scoring.

NBL1 West

Women's Joondalup Wolves

The Joondalup Wolves are looking to repeat history this season.

In the 2022 regular season, the Wolves held a 16-game win streak before losing to the NBL1 West and National Finals Champions the Warwick Senators.

The duo Robbi Ryan and Nes'aya Parker-Williams have only gotten better, with Parker on the WNBL Championship Townsville Fire and Ryan becoming a key starter for the Perth Lynx.

While Tegie Morrell has started her 2023 NBL1 season as an MVP favourite according to NBL1 West expert Chris Pike

“Teige Morrell has just been dominant inside, no one’s got an answer for her in the league right now,” Pike said on The NBL1 Show

“She’s clearly one of the best bigs in the country, I wouldn’t be surprised if WNBL clubs are closely looking at her.”

Women's Cockburn Cougars

The women's Cougars are looking strong with the addition of Danish import Sarah Mortensen, alongside their core of Jessie Edwards and Jewell Williams.

Mortensen has added some much-needed scoring and rebounding, averaging a massive 22 points and 12.5 rebounds to the talented Cougars squad.

While the addition of Stephanie Gorman has to be discussed as well. Playing with the Ballarat Miners in 2022, the young Australian star is putting up 17 points a game to hold the Cougars' undefeated record.

Men's Rockingham Flames

The reigning NBL1 West champions and inaugural Coles Express NBL1 National Finals Champions are 7-0 to start the 2023 NBL1 season... it's a bad sign for the rest of the conference.

The hunted have come out with a purpose, averaging 106 points per game. The Flames have said repeatedly that they will be better this season than they were last year, from both player and coach.

Devondrick Walker has gone to another level, Marshall Nelson is still a bucket, captain Ryan Godfrey is still steering the ship and their new import Jeremy Combs has been outstanding.

The American forward is averaging 18.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists for the Flames and has been another piece in the toy box coach Ryan Petrik.

Honourable mentions:

NBL1 East Women's: Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, 8-1.

NBL1 East Men's: Inner West Bulls, seven-game win streak since a loss in Round 1.
