Wildcats young gun Luke Travers signs with Mandurah

Perth Wildcats young gun Luke Travers has signed with Mandurah Magic for the remainder of the NBL1 West season.

Perth Wildcats young gun Luke Travers has signed with Mandurah Magic for the remainder of the NBL1 West season.

Serving as development player on Perth's roster, the 19-year-old came to life at the perfect time for the Wildcats with a dominant NBL Finals series.

He particularly shone against the Illawarra Hawks in Game 2 with 13 points, 10 rebounds and the game-winning dunk.

As a promising junior, Travers represented Australia at the international level at both the U16 Asia Cup and the U17 World Cup.

Travers also helped break a 17-year drought for WA by winning gold at the 2018 U18 National Championships.

Travers joins NBL rival Scott Machado on the Magic's roster.
