Wrobel to lead Townsville men in 2022

Mark Wrobel will lead the Townsville Heat in the 2022 NBL1 North season, after being appointed head coach of the team. 

Wrobel replaces outgoing club legend Rodney Anderson in the role, after Anderson took his side to nine wins and four losses this season. 

As the General Manager of the club, Wrobel will be hoping to build on the Heat's third place finish in 2022. 

He has also had experience coaching the Flames, guiding them to back-to-back QBL titles in 2007-08, signifying his long involvement in coaching. 

His talents took him to WNBL level with the Townsville Fire, where he won three championships as an assistant coach, and the U17 Sapphires, where he won Gold and Bronze with the team, also as an assistant coach.
