The Ipswich Force has announced that Geoff MacLeod has been appointed as head coach of its women's team.
MacLeod has a long relationship with basketball, including multiple stops as a head coach at the state league level, and brings a full tank of enthusiasm for the task of leading the Force's women’s program.
IBA General Manager, Brady Walmsley, said: "Geoff is an experienced coach who understands the importance of balancing enjoyment and accountability in high-performing environments.
"Geoff demonstrates a genuine passion for the full range of responsibilities of a Head Coach at this level, and we look forward to watching our team develop its identity under his leadership."
The Force has already begun recruiting for the 2022 NBL1 North season, with announcements expected in the coming months.
