NBL1 North champion Sam Bowman has signed with the Townsville Flames for the 2025 season.
Bowman has spent the past two seasons with the Cyclones, leading them to back-to-back Grand Finals – getting over the hump in 2024 over the Northside Wizards.
In 2024 Bowman was outstanding, averaging 19.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game – being named to the NBL1 North Second-Team alongside teammate Lara McSpadden.
The American import star will stay in regional Queensland, moving 700 kilometres up the coast to Townsville.
Upon signing, new head coach and Townsville Fire legend Claudia Brassard said Bowman will be a major difference maker in 2025.
“(Sam is a) great addition to our team, Sam is a proven winner at this level and brings experience and talent at both ends of the floor,” she said.
“She will be a key feature for our team. Looking forward to welcoming Sam to Townsville for the 2025 NBL1 North season.”
