The RedCity Roar are continuing to build their NBL1 North Women's roster with the strong addition of Emily Preston.
Coming across from the Southern Districts Spartans, Preston said she was swayed by the culture of RedCity when deciding whether to sign on for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 North season.
"Initially I wasn’t planning on playing in the 2022 season," she admitted.
"However, after having conversations with Cassie (Dover) and seeing the team announcements roll out, I had to reconsider.
"I’m super excited to be a part of a new club for the first time in my playing career, especially because it’s with a group of girls I’ve enjoyed playing with and against for years, so it’s nice to see us all get back together in this league."
Coach Cassie Dover added: "I am stoked to have Emily join our group.
"She is a great talent- athletic, long, and extremely versatile.
"I know with the girls we have and the way I envision our team playing, she will fit into our style of play easily.
"I know the move wasn't an easy decision so I am grateful that Emily has the support of the group here and I know the RedCity community is going to love watching her on court.
"I can’t wait either!"
