With the Mackay Meteors last season, Bayles averaged 13.7 points, seven rebounds and 5.5 assists – leading them to the first round of the NBL1 North Finals where they lost to the Northside Wizards.
Bayles was a critical piece to the Sydney Kings’ run in the NBL22 championship season, but early into the NBL23 season took a paid leave of absence for the remainder of the season.
Bayles said he’s excited to be playing basketball again and in the Gold Coast this coming season.
"Really looking forward to the year here on the Gold Coast,” Bayles said.
"We have a great group coming together and I'm looking forward to getting out there on the floor."
Head Coach Luke Mcguire also is wrapped to have Bayles in teal this season.
"Biwali is a high-level talent and will bring us elite point guard play for 2023," coach Mcgurie said.
"We are really excited to bring a high calibre player who can play both ends of the floor and will fit great into our culture.”
