Carter and Volkman return to Brisbane ahead of NBL1 North

The Brisbane Capitals have announced their first Men's players for the upcoming NBL1 North season, with Zac Carter and Ben Volkman putting pen to paper. 

Carter recently represented the NZ Tall Blacks in the FIBA Asia Cup qualifier against Australia. 

He was also a member of the AIS as a junior and played in the NBL for the Gold Coast Blaze in the 2011-12 season. 

Carter has been playing professionally for 16 years and has spent the past seven seasons with the Capitals. 

Volkman grew up in Brisbane and played in the U18 and U20 Queensland State teams. 

After graduating from Churchie, he attended Maryville University in Missouri for his freshman and sophomore years. 

Volkman was a key part of the Capitals' championship in 2019 and is back after undergoing knee surgery last year. 

Brisbane will host the Northside Wizards on Saturday 15 May to tip off its 2021 NBL1 North season.
