The Frankston Blues have announced former Blues junior and now coach, Abby Chernishoff, will return to the NBL1 South women’s team.

The Frankston Blues have announced former Blues junior and now coach, Abby Chernishoff, will return to the NBL1 South women’s team.
Currently head coaching the Under 12.1 Girls, Chernishoff returns to the Blues after captaining the Youth League Women’s team to a championship in 2019.
Coach Belinda Snell spoke about Chernishoff’s effort and team contributions.
“Abby has worked hard over the last year in challenging times and has shown improvement at both ends of the floor,” Snell said.
“She is the ultimate team player and will play with high intensity and effort every time she hits the court.”
Chernishoff spoke about progressing up to the club’s NBL1 program and the team.
“It’s exciting to be playing for Frankston in NBL1 after progressing my way through the junior Blues system,” Chernishoff said.
“I can’t wait to start playing with and learning from the group Snelly has put together.
“The girls aren’t only super talented, but they’re great people."
