Eagles sign Ngor Manyang

The Diamond Valley Basketball Association has announced that Ngor Manyang has signed with the Diamond Valley Eagles for the 2021 NBL1 South season.

The Diamond Valley Basketball Association has announced that Ngor Manyang has signed with the Diamond Valley Eagles for the 2021 NBL1 South season.
The 6’7 forward from Perth has had a very successful career in the Western Australia State Basketball League. In his 2018 season Manyang played for the East Perth Eagles, averaging 4.8 points and 2.25 rebounds.
His two key games of the season were against the Senators and Buccaneers where he scored 17 points against the Senators. His game against the Buccaneers saw him score 15 points.
For the 2019 season Manyang transferred to the Warwick Senators and was a key scorer for the team. His game against the East Perth Eagles saw him score 18 points and grab 10 rebounds. In another game against the Slammers, Manyang recorded 19 points and seven rebounds.
In 2018 Manyang participated in the NBL Next Gen Camp. The process saw all athletes undergo athletic and anthropomorphic testing. Manyang placed in the top 10 for a number of testing results; he recorded 10th with a wingspan of 213cm, eighth with a 3/4 court sprint time of 3.36 seconds, third with a no step vertical jump height of 3.72cm, and second in total blocks with five.
“An athletic shooting guard, Ngor’s preseason with us in 2020 had us all salivating at what he brought to the table, with his uncanny ability to create off the dribble, his depth of scoring and his coachability to be able to fit into our systems seamlessly," coach Grant Wallace said.
"He was able to actually play in 2020 in the WA State league, and had a standout season, which provides him a unique competitive advantage for us in 2021."
