Scores were then still level with Canberra in possession coming out of a timeout and Will Mayfield drained the go ahead three-pointer to put the Gunners up three with nine seconds remaining.

The CoE had a timeout left and drew up a play for a Furphy three, but that didn’t fall and from there Canberra secured the four-point win to stay unbeaten at 4-0 on the season.
