Force signs youngster Alana Fraser

The Ipswich Force women's team have announced the signing of Alana Fraser for the 2021 NBL1 North season.

Fraser comes to the Force as an established state league player, previously plying her trade with the Logan Thunder. She had a successful junior playing career, representing Queensland on multiple occasions at the Australian Junior Championship level.

Fraser is very active in supporting the Indigenous Basketball movement and was part of the 2019 Apunipima Australian Indigenous Basketball All Stars Women's Team who won Gold at the 2019 International Indigenous & Cultural Basketball Tournament

"Alana is a consummate professional and a great addition to our group,” coach Brady Walmsley said.

“She is low maintenance, hard working and incredibly coachable. Alana makes good decisions, takes care of the basketball and is extremely capable defensively - all things you need on good teams.

“Alana and I have a relationship that dates back to junior state teams and it's nice to be reunited again at the NBL1 level."
